Gracelets - book by Michael Arnold

Gracelets? There’s no such word, right?

Revd Michael Arnold (author)

Well, there is now. Imagine a diamond bracelet. Beautiful diamonds, banded together, connected but each one unique. Or droplets on a window pane. Each related, but each one different.

Grace-lets. Aspects of grace, but none the same. David, the forgiven murderer, Abraham and his doubts. Peter pardoned for his denials, Joseph the teenage superbrat, Jonah the grumpy prophet and Mary, the humble, trusting mother of Jesus.

Faith, forgiveness, idolatry and blessing. Big bangs, beatitudes, fine-tuning and

prayer.

What will you learn from this miscellany? Well, I’m not going to give you the customary bullet points… Each reader will learn something different, I imagine. But I do pray that it will help you in some way. And as long as you take something from it, it will have been worthwhile.

About the Author

Michael Arnold was educated at St. John’s College, Johannesburg, and holds degrees from Rhodes and Oxford. He taught for many years at St Andrew’s College, Grahamstown, and has been successively chaplain at Clayesmore School, Dorset and Senior Chaplain at St John’s College, Johannesburg.

“Radically converted at 34 through two senior pupils at St Andrew’s College, Grahamstown, my life was blessed thereafter with healing, a wonderful Christian wife and two lovely children.

“But it has also been a journey of sorrows and losses as well as joys, backward steps as well as forward ones, unemployment as well as fruitful ministry as a school chaplain.

“All in all, it has been the journey of a very ordinary man with an extraordinary God, a God of amazing grace!”

Gracelets will be on sale at the promotional price of R150 on Sunday 27th April 2025, when Michael will be speaking at the Sunday services. (cash or card welcome)
